The Peter J Isola Foundation was delighted to support Gibraltar’s successful rock band TAXI’s charity concert.
The band waived their fees so that all proceeds collected on the night could be donated to various local charities.
The Peter J Isola Foundation purchased 100 tickets and distributed them to over fifteen local charities who enjoyed the concert adding to the success of the evening.
The event raised a total of £10,000 for the following charities; Childline, Kidney Care, Calpe House, Research into Childhood Cancer, Gibraltar Community Association, GBC Open Day Fund and Cancer Research UK Gibraltar Branch. The Peter J Isola Foundation’s chosen charity on this occasion was Childline who received £4,000.
Peter Isola, Trustee of the PJI Foundation said, “We are delighted to have supported this initiative by Taxi and the organisers of the event, helping raise a total of £10,000 which has gone to local charities who work tirelessly, and continue to offer, invaluable services to our community”.
Caroline Carter Chief executive of Childline said “Childline Gibraltar are honoured that the Peter J Isola Foundation have selected Childline as the beneficiaries of this donation from the Charity Concert. We will be using these funds to contribute towards two projects. One is our daily Helpline Service, where we support children with a range of issues from needing to talk about their worries to safeguarding them from harm. The second is our Families’ Service where are implementing a project in partnership with the NSPCC, that will able us to support children and their mothers who have been victims of Domestic Abuse.”
