The Peter J Isola Foundation raise £3k for Women in Need.

The Peter J Isola Foundation hosted a charity paddle tournament and BBQ/paella lunch raising £3,000 for Women in Need, Gibraltar. The event was attended by 28 teams from across the Gibraltar business community, including staff members from ISOLAS LLP and Fiduciary Group. Each team paid £100 for entry, with all proceeds donated to the charity. Women in Need, Gibraltar, works with women, children and men, across Gibraltar in their hour of need, supporting them through various initiatives and schemes. The charity has a particular focus on supporting women who are currently, or have been, victims of domestic violence. The charity targets its support to keep women safe and empowers them to rebuild their lives. Terry Borrell, daughter of the late Claire Borrell who founded the charity, was present to collect the cheque on behalf of Women in Need. Terri spoke about her own personal experience and the great work the charity her mother founded carries out within our community and thanked everyone present for their kind donation. The Peter J Isola foundation was established to celebrate the life of ISOLAS’ former senior partner, the Hon Peter Joseph Isola OBE, who passed away in 2006. The charity raises money for numerous good causes in Gibraltar through a variety of events and relies on volunteers from ISOLAS LLP and Fiduciary. Peter Isola, ISOLAS LLP Senior Partner, said: “On behalf of The Peter J Isola Foundation, I want to thank everyone who came out in the heat to join us for our paddle tournament and lunch. The event was great, active fun, and was a good way to raise money for Women in Need. Not only was the event a great financial success, raising welcome funds to help the charity’s work, but most importantly, we hope it serves to raise awareness of such an important issue here in Gibraltar.”
